  Usually, I don't go with the "mass market" products, but these were too charming not to add to my product mix! Unlike other lines, which are totally over the top & over-decorated, the Kurt Adler Co has come out with "The Early Years" series, which goes back to their basic roots. These perfectly emulate the pieces they started importing in the 1940's & 1950's. Hand blown & painted (in China) they offer very good quality at a very good price. Virtually indistinguishable from the old ones, the biggest difference is that the tails aren't spun glass like the originals (which is understandable, because even the German glassblowers are having a tough time getting the original style tails, as one of the last guys who still made them, passed away recently)
